Dovedale. Dovedale is a valley in the Peak District owned by the National Trust. This picturesque location attracts millions of nature lovers each year.

Dovedale was once an area covered by the sea. and millions of years underwater has shaped the scenic limestone /10(32). Visited Dovedale on 6th Aug. Insanely busy and ridiculous large gatherings of people.

I was a solo visitor and don't see why I should have to endure large gatherings of people who clearly do not know or seem to care about social distancing/5(K). The famous stepping stones on the Dovedale Walk. I’ve split the walk up into 5 short stages each between km/ miles each.

This walk is great if you are hiking with kids for the first time as there are lots of things for them to see and explore on the route, including the awesome Stepping Stones of course!.

For navigating, I’d recommend using an Ordnance Survey Map (OL Dovedale - Guests are welcome to stay in Dovedale apartment while visiting Ashbourne. This unit consists of 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and a kitchen.
